The body of a third victim of the weekend’s drowning disaster involving three first-year students of Daboase Senior High and Technical School has been retrieved.
Richard Baidoo was among seven students who defied school rules and went to swim in the Subri River.
Unfortunately, three got drowned in the River that had overflowed its banks because of incessant rains.
Bodies of two of the victims, Christian Dennis Acquah and Lesley Nana Yaw Ampong, were retrieved on the same day by a combined team of police and fire personnel.
The search team continued their efforts the next day but could not find the third victim.
Libation and other traditional rites were performed on Monday morning and soon afterwards, the third victim was found at exactly 10:44am, fire personnel confirmed to Connect FM‘s Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson.
The body has been sent to the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital Morgue.
