itel, a leading smart technology brand committed to making innovation accessible to all, successfully hosted the first edition of the Tour de Nigeria 60KM Cycling Challenge on November 2, 2025, in Lagos, in partnership with Cycology Riding Club.
The event reinforced itel’s dedication to fitness, wellness, and community engagement while showcasing how smart technology enhances active lifestyles.
The challenge kicked off at Dolphin Estate, Ikoyi, where hundreds of cyclists gathered for a 60KM ride through Osborne, Third Mainland Bridge, Gbagada, Anthony, and Oshodi, before looping under the MMIA Bridge and returning to Ikoyi. The route tested endurance and skill while drawing cheers from spectators who lined the roads.
Supported by Pocari Sweat, Google, and the Lagos State Sports Commission, the Tour de Nigeria went beyond a fitness event – it was a celebration of resilience, innovation, and community spirit.
Throughout the race, participants relied on the itel Apex N10 Smartwatch, a trusted fitness companion that offered accurate GPS tracking, real-time performance data, and strong visibility under the Lagos sun thanks to its Corning Gorilla Glass display. Its water and impact resistance made it the perfect match for the day’s demanding conditions.
As riders crossed the finish line, the crowd erupted in excitement. The day concluded with the itel Smart Life Party, a lively post-race celebration filled with music, games, and prizes- bringing together fitness lovers from across Nigeria.
Speaking at the event, Chuks Obikwame, ATL Marketing Manager, Accessories & Small Appliances, itel Nigeria, said:
“The Tour de Nigeria is more than a cycling challenge – it’s about connecting people through fitness, passion, and smart technology. We look forward to expanding this experience across Nigeria in the coming months.”
itel’s successful debut event, held in partnership with CycologyRiding Club, set a new benchmark for fitness-driven brand activations in Nigeria.
